Professional Network: Mentors

Mission

The UMBC Professional Network program connects its network of active alumni and employer volunteers to UMBC current students (and alumni who use UMBCworks to support their job search) in support of their career exploration and academic development, and of alumni engagement opportunities.

Vision

The UMBC Professional Network will expand to include a diverse network of volunteers. Participating alumni and employers will strengthen their affiliation and connection to UMBC. The Professional Network will positively impact students’ networking, personal branding abilities, employer engagement levels, as well as student retention and engagement goals. Increasing numbers of students will take advantage of Career Services and gain the knowledge and tools to market their strengths to employers and fulfill their own career and life goals.

How to Reach Us

We are excited that you have volunteered your valuable time to become more engaged with UMBC, The Career Services Center and Alumni Services by helping students with their career development and networking skills. We hope that you find it worthwhile.
