Alumni Career Services

As an alumni, all of the services listed below are available to you for free, within one semester of your graduation date. After that see price as listed. For more information, contact us by any of the means listed on the about us page. Payment for any of the services listed below can be made by faxing us a completed credit card authorization form or by payment in person/mail with check or credit card (American Express, Discover, Visa or Master Card).

UMBCworks Account
~~$50 per semester, $25 mid-semester~~
Recent UMBC graduates have access to UMBCworks, free of charge, for one semester following the date of graduation. As of January 2011, alumni are eligible to reactivate their UMBCworks account for one additional semester at no charge. Additional requests to reactivate UMBCworks accounts will require a scheduled appointment with a career specialist in order to review current job search strategies and to receive recommendations for effective practices of branding, networking and resource utilization. Scheduled appointments can be made by calling 410-455-2216 and a $30 fee will be incurred for the appointment. The Career Services Center at UMBC strongly advocates that job search candidates utilize a number of methods to conduct an effective job search, and not rely solely on applying for jobs online.

Job search engines and resume referrals via UMBCworks to employers seeking experienced candidates. UMBCworks is UMBC's on-line system for job seekers. Included are full-time experienced level positions. In addition UMBCworks give you access a comprehensive calendar of Career Events on campus.
