Alumni Career Services
As an alumni, all of the services listed below are available to you for free, unless otherwise stated. For more information, contact us by any of the means listed on the about us page. Payment for any of the services listed below can be made by faxing us a completed credit card authorization form or by payment in person/mail with check or credit card (American Express, Discover, Visa or Master Card).
Individual Appointments (In-person or telephone)
UMBCworks is UMBC's online system for job seekers. Included are full-time entry-level and experienced-level positions. In addition, UMBCworks gives you access to a comprehensive calendar of Career Events on campus.
Recent UMBC graduates have access to UMBCworks for one year following the date of graduation. After that, alumni can request to have their UMBCworks account reactivated on a per semester basis, but are urged to schedule an appointment with a career specialist in order to review current job search strategies and to receive recommendations for effective practices of branding, networking and resource utilization. Scheduled appointments can be made by calling 410-455-2216 and a $30 fee will be incurred for the appointment. The Career Services Center at UMBC strongly advocates that job search candidates utilize a number of methods to conduct an effective job search, and not rely solely on applying for jobs online.
Recent alumni may also participate in On-Campus Interviews through the next following semester after graduation (Fall graduates through Spring, Spring and Summer graduates through Fall).

Our website includes access to resources such as online workshops, job resources, and links to related sites and publications, including the Vault Career Insider and FOCUS 2. For access to Career Insider and/or FOCUS 2 you must have a valid myUMBC account.
