Choosing and managing a career does not end once you have your diploma in hand and as many alumni quickly learn, the process of finding happiness in their career is just that, a process. Over the course of your life, jobs will change due to down sizing, re-structuring or market trends; you will change also - your values, interests, skills and goals will all adapt as you go through life. All of these issues come together to prompt career transition.
Alumni career services are designed to assist UMBC alumni through all of the stages of career development including career planning, management, transition assistance and going back to graduate school. Dedicated professionals are here to assist you in learning more about what you enjoy doing, where your skills lie and how to more easily navigate the job search process.
