	BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE
		Caroline Baker came to UMBC in January 2006 with a diverse background in business development, economic development, marketing and strategic partnerships. Promoted in 2008 to Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations for the Office of Institutional Advancement (OIA), Caroline has successfully promoted the talent and expertise of UMBC faculty and students to both local and global businesses building key partnerships for the University. Working closely with the President, Provost and campus leaders, she identifies opportunities to match UMBC’s needs with corporate and foundation goals. The Corporate and Foundation Relations team has attracted millions of dollars of annual support for UMBC and our students. As of Feb. 1, 2012, Caroline will wear two hats for the interim period maintaining core functions of her position in OIA while taking on the additional responsibilities of Acting Director in the CSC.
